Also, 1 point will be deducted for each wrong answer marked by the candidate. However, there is no penalty for questions that are left unanswered/unmarked by the candidate. Other General Information for attempting the CAT 2015 Candidate who will be appearing for CAT 2015 must note that they will not be allowed to toggle between the 3 sections and will only have an option of attempting one section at a time. Though the candidates will be free to attempt any of the section first and also they can answer the questions out of sequence too in that section but within the time duration of 60 minutes only. During the duration of theCommon Admission Test, an on-screen timer will be shown continuously on the computer screens of the candidates, that will keep displaying the left over minutes for the test. A panel on the right-hand side of the computer screen will keep displaying the status of the questions in distinct four colours for the candidates ease to manage the questions answered/unanswered by him/her and also to attempt the exam with ease and comfort. The different colour and the status that these indicate are stated as follow – Green Colour – It will indicate the questions answered by the candidate. Red Colour – It will indicate the questions unanswered by the candidate. White Colour – It will indicate the questions not yet viewed by the candidate. Violet Colour – It will indicate the questions marked for review by the candidate. Note:The CAT Exam Questions that the candidate would have answered but would have marked for review will be shown with a tick mark. However, the questions simply marked for review without attempting to answer it by the candidate will not be carrying a tick mark on them but will be marked in violet colour.
